Vedica-Teach For India (TFI) Scholarships
In line with our commitment to nurturing changemakers and promoting equitable access to quality education, Vedica is proud to offer two dedicated scholarships in collaboration with Teach For India (TFI). These scholarships are specially designed for alumni and Fellows of TFI who have demonstrated outstanding academic potential, resilience, and a deep commitment to social impact.
1. Vedica-TFI Shiksha Shakti Scholarship
About the Scholarship:
This is a prestigious, full-tuition scholarship awarded to a TFI student alumni from a low-income background who has shown exceptional curiosity for learning, resilience in the face of adversity, and a strong desire to drive societal change.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a student alumni from a TFI classroom.
- Annual family income should be less than INR 6,00,000.
- Proven ability to overcome personal or financial challenges.
Scholarship Award:
- INR 12.98 lakhs (100% Tuition Fee Waiver)

2. Vedica-TFI Future Leaders Scholarship
About the Scholarship:
This scholarship recognises outstanding Teach For India Fellows who have made meaningful contributions to empowering women and girls through education, leadership, or community initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a current or former TFI Fellow.
- Annual family income should be less than INR 6,00,000.
- Demonstrated societal impact, especially in promoting gender equity and education.
Scholarship Awards
- One 100% Tuition Fee Waiver - INR 12.98 lakhs
- One 50% Tuition Fee Waiver - INR 6.49 lakhs

How to Apply for a TFI Scholarship
Only candidates who have successfully completed the interview round for admission to the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women are eligible to apply.
Step 1: Admission Application
Submit the online application for the Vedica Scholars Programme and pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 1,200.
Step 2: Scholarship Application Submission
Once shortlisted for admission, candidates must submit the following:
- Statement of Purpose: Why you are applying for the TFI scholarship and how it aligns with your goals.
- Proof of Family Income: Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last three financial years for all earning members.
- Academic Records: Mark sheets and certificates from school and college.
Step 3: Scholarship Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a final interview with the Vedica Management Team to assess their alignment with Vedica’s mission and scholarship objectives.
Step 4: Security Deposit
Candidates selected for the scholarship must pay a refundable security deposit of INR 88,500, which will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the programme (subject to certain conditions—see below).
Refund Policy for the Security Deposit
- If a Scholar secures a job with a salary of INR 8,00,000 or above, the deposit will be retained and contributed to the Vedica Scholarship Fund to support future applicants.
- If a Scholar’s salary is less than INR 8,00,000, the deposit (after applicable deductions) will be refunded—INR 75,000 will be credited to the Scholar’s account.
