Hailing from Dehradun.Saumya graduated with a B.B.A LL.B(H) degree from Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University. As a law graduate she has interned at several Non-profit and legislative organizations such as Human Rights Law Network,Delhi,Rajasthan High Court, Dehradun District Court as well as many law firms.
She is an ardent feminist,to understand the impact of atrocities faced by the women , she has written dissertation on the topic of 'Legal Implications of Rape and Sexual Assault on Women in India'.
