Maitri Joshi hails from the lake city of Nainital, Uttarakhand. She did her early schooling in the Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh and then finished her schooling from All Saints’ College, Nainital. Further she completed her graduation in Civil Engineering from M.S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Thereafter she went on to prepare for Union Public Service Commission's Civil Services Examination for 4 years. Alongside, she was teaching students in villages of Arunachal Pradesh for various other state competitive examinations. Maitri is into mixed martial arts (MMA), yoga and swimming. She believes in consciously taking care of both physical and mental health. If not found under a concrete roof, she would be on the mountains out in the wild with nothing else but a smile.
