Here are some tips to keep handy when studying online. Following these should keep you in good stead when studying online at Vedica.

Know your software.

Learn how to Google and YouTube effectively to find quick solutions to your problems.
Check your Learning Management System regularly for updates.
Beware of procrastination.
Log on to your classes on time.
Practice effective time management to avoid work piling up on deadline day.
Make study groups with your batchmates. Set internal deadlines way before the actual deadline.
Set regular time intervals aside in a week to go through lectures, readings and assignments.
It is easier to attend a class and listen to the professor in real time than figure out concepts from the recording on your own.
Assigned readings aren't a substitute for class time.
Have a set study space (desk or table) with room for your computer, a notebook and lots of natural light.
Don't login from or watch recordings on your phone. Use the largest screens possible.
Keep distractions such as your cell phone, tablets, family and pets outside.
Take advantage of office hours with the professors.
Take appointments with the writing centre regularly. Have a draft or list of questions ready.
